And think of all the time you'll have to do Romans 12:2. You can have your minds renewed as you memorize Scripture. If it helps your family to know, my parents called a family meeting when I was 11 to ask us to vote on giving our television away to our grandmother after she was widowed. We unanimously agreed to give her our TV, and didn't have one for 5 years. I may have missed out on C.H.I.P.S. and Disney movies, but on the other hand, me and my brother and sisters read TONS of books, played all the board games we could get our hands on, made up our own games, built things out of cardboard, created comic strips--in short, we learned how to use our imaginations. I appreciate my parents' foresight because later I learned they were also very concerned about our TV consumption at the time. (Pretty sneaky to appeal to our blossoming senses of compassion!) Anyway, GOOD FOR YOU and your family. You're an inspiration.Kimnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00575198441540113122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33561357.post-43375798232138456942009-03-16T08:27:00.001-04:002009-03-16T08:27:00.001-04:00Thanks for stopping by to comment...Thanks for stopping by to comment...Melissa in Mel's Worldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13638983411456998183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33561357.post-72000850340972879932009-03-16T08:27:00.000-04:002009-03-16T08:27:00.000-04:00Hey Melissa,I was joking a bit with you this morni...Hey Melissa,

I was joking a bit with you this morning on Twitter, but this is a great idea.

My ministry is primarily focused on those struggling with pornography and sexual addiction. I got here because it was an addiction for me for 24 years.

A few years back, the American Academy of Pediatrics released a study saying that in the next 12 months, American children will be exposed to over 14,000 sexually explicit references. That's 40 times a day.

The USA today wrote a few years back that sexual content on network television has more than tripled over the last decade.

There's a sexual reference on network television once every 4 minutes, and 75% of that outside of God's design for sex.

Anything that we can do to reduce the steady flow of sexual misinformation our children get is a great idea.

Kudos to You!

Grace and Peace,

talTal Princehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03308246607168190183noreply@blogger.com
