Book Review & Giveaway ~ LOL with God Devotional

I was blessed to meet the authors of this book out at the Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico in November.  They are witty, charming and flat out the real deal.

I was able to spend lots of time with Dawn Wilson, one of the co-authors of the book, and really got to know her heart.  She is a truly humble and lovely woman who has a passion to serve women.  In the course of our time together at the ranch she told me about this book she just finished with Pam.

Well...you know me...I am ALL about great godly girlfriends so I asked her if she would mind letting me do a review of the book...and I took it one step further and asked if I could get a copy for one of YOU too!

My Review:
LOL with God ~ devotional messages of hope & humor for women is a fun & quirky devotional book that meets us as women right where we are.  From the first minute you open the pages you have to laugh at the sheer genius of Pam & Dawn for rolling with such a fantastic idea.  Life for women today is all about the text messaging; to our husbands, our kids, our friends...it is absolutely prevalent in our world.

The daily devotionals are short and easy to read, yet also challenging and thought provoking.  Just enough to cause you pause for a minute and really let it soak in.  Each devotional is then wrapped up with a prayer and Scripture verses to apply to that day's message.  There's also a place for you to send up your messages back to God...love it!
After every devotional there is a short little LOL story that will surely bring a smile to your face and brighten your day!

LOL with God is a fantastic addition to any woman's daily quiet time and a great gift to share with your girlfriends!

From the Book:
If a cheerful heart is good medicine, then here's a megadose! Connecting hilarity with God's timeless Word, Farrel and Wilson offer laugh-out-loud insights that will heal your frazzled soul and transform your spirit, leaving you renewed, revived, and refreshed. Avowed "texters," Pam and Dawn use the theme of sending and receiving text messages throughout the book. The offer a fresh perspective on what it's like to live in the presence of God. A Focus on the Family Resource.
