Birthday Extravaganza Giveaway Wrap Up

I have absolutely had the MOST fun this week celebrating my birthday with YOU! Thank you so much for all the birthday messages, y'all are just too sweet!

Too Full to Eat

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “I’ve got too much on my plate.” Or “My plate is full.”

I pondered those phrases and how they may apply to my life. My life is simply complex; with emphasis on the word “simply”.

With so much on my plate, I asked myself several questions:

Am I enjoying the meal that’s in front of me? Am I truly taking pleasure in it?

Are the side items of my own desires and choosing or are they God ordained?

Is the meat the beautifully prepared Manna or is it the bologna that the world says should be my source of nourishment?

Now, that buttered bread…you know where I’m going with this! Daily Bread!  He gives daily bread, but am I receiving it?

What’s most important to me as God’s girl; a plate full of what I put on it – as pretty as the dish may be? OR a plate full of what God has chosen for me – as sometimes unappealing as I’d like it to be?

The beauty of it all is that when I cheerfully decide to eat from God’s plate, He blesses that and gives me the desires of my heart; which ultimately turns out to be the very best! That's where the dessert comes from, girlfriends!

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8

Lord, I don't want my "eyes to be bigger than my stomach". I pray that whenever I start to pile my plate up with things that are not beneficial, help me to recognize it. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

She has been her Daddy's (Abba Father) girl for 12 shorts years. She still has a crush on her husband, Brian of almost 16 years. They are a homeschool family with 6 vibrant and fun-loving children.
