Book Review ~ Secrets & Faithful Heart

I have to admit something to y'all.  I used to be a book snob.  Seriously, I was.  I thought the purpose for reading was completely educational.  I read books on leadership, ministry, parenting, etc, but never ever thought about reading a...a...gasp...FICTION book!

I laugh at myself now because I discovered my heart for Christian Fiction in the midst of a very horrific time in my life.  My oldest son lay in a hospital bed in critical condition for 51 days and we weren't even sure that he would make it out of the hospital.

One of my girlfriends came to the hospital and gave me a book...a Francine Rivers book to be exact, and said to me, you need an "escape".  Everything in your life right now is deep, dark, and hard.  You can sit here in the hospital, read this book, and "get away" from it all for a little while without leaving your son's room.  From that day on I have been hooked by Christian Fiction and I am thrilled to be able to share with you some of these incredible books in the Value Fiction For Your Spring Break Blog Tour.

Colorado Springs, CO— Fiction lovers don’t need to budget to travel this spring break with Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing Group’s six full-length novels by beloved Christian authors (WaterBrook, February 16, 2010). Yesterday’s Promise
by Linda Lee Chaikin – Rogan Chantry faces danger from tribesmen, ruthless politicians, and his own family as he searches for gold in South Africa.
