Book Review ~ Jesus Calling

Jesus Calling ~ Enjoying Peace in His Presence
Devotions for Every Day of the Year

By Sarah Young

I was recently blessed with the opportunity to review this devotional book from Thomas Nelson Publishing. I love a great devotional book and read about 4-5 of them each day when I sit down with my Bible to do my quiet time.

I love reading from the different devotionals to prepare my heart for what God is teaching me that day and also to prepare myself to read His Word. Some of my favorite devotionals have been worn out and read over and over again, each year with a new pen color or highlighter so I can see what stands out to me each year.

I am so excited to add this little gem to my devotional collection. It is packed full of great thoughts, words, and inspiration. I find myself emotionally drawn into the pages and even though they are a short spot to my day they give me just the right words and encouragement that I need that day.

The most special part of this particular devotional is that it is as though Jesus Himself is sitting down to read them to you. I can not even begin to describe how precious it is to think of our Lord and Savior sitting there reading these devotionals to you, but that is truly what it feels like.

If you are looking for a sweet little devotional to add to your daily quiet time, then I would love to suggest that this, Jesus Calling, may be the devotional you are looking for.
