Then Sings My Soul - 10/18/08

It's funny how from one week to another things can change so mauch, can't they? You are riding on top of the mountain then the next thing you know you are deep in the pit with the rain pouring down on you. The great thing for us, as believers in Jesus Christ, is that we know (that we know that we know) that we are not walking through this storm alone.

This truly has been a roller coaster week for me and I haven't had the time I wanted to get online and post here as much as I would like, but I think about you all and pray for you often.

This week, for my Then Sings My Soul Saturday's song choice I picked one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite groups. Maybe you've heard of them and maybe you haven't but one thing is for sure, the words and passion in this song will strike a chord with many of you. It is my prayer that you would be blessed by it and know that you are NOT alone!

Stand in the Rain
By: Superchick

Lyrics from
Metrolyrics.com

She never slows down.
She doesn't know why but she knows that when she's all alone, feels like its all coming down
She won't turn around
The shadows are long and she fears if she cries that first tear, the tears will not stop raining down

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain

She won't make a sound
Alone in this fight with herself and the fears whispering if she stands she'll fall down
She wants to be found
The only way out is through everything she's running from wants to give up and lie down.

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain

So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
Stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain

Very powerful video and lyrics! And yes, in the midst of often trying and challenging life circumstances...we as believers in Jesus can rest in Him.
