Then Sings My Soul - 10/11/08 - Come to Jesus

Welcome Back to another beautiful Saturday morning as we celebrate together in "Then Sings My Soul Saturday's" with Amy over at Signs, Miracles, and Wonders.

I love being able to sit for a bit and visit with you as we seek to celebrate our relationship with Christ through music. Each week it is so amazing to be able to go around and visit with each other, listen to our songs, and also get to know each other better at the same time. What a gift Saturday's are to me, thanks for being here!

This week I picked a fabulous, touching, and endearing song called "Come to Jesus" by Chris Rice. Grab your cup of coffee, tea, or hot cocoa (for you notherners) and enjoy the simplicity and beauty of this song. I'll put up the words for you to enjoy as well.

I pray that you are having a fabulous weekend and can't wait to see you come back here tomorrow for "Speak to My Soul Sunday's". Have a blessed weekend!

Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head, for love is passing by
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus and live

Now your burden's lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain,
so Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus and live

And like a newborn baby
Don't be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk
Sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus and live

Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain,
then Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live

O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can't contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live

And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side, and
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live

Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live

I love the part that says...when you fall...fall to Jesus. What an awesome thing, that when we mess up & fall flat on our face, that is actually where we need to be...flat on our face falling into Jesus. Awesome!

This song is just great, isn't it? I think Chris Rice has to be one of the most talented artists out there. I just love his music.

Thanks for sharing it Mel!

I love that song. I hear it on our local christian station every once in awhile, and it ALWAYS touches my heart when I hear it! :)

I have always loved this song . . . so much so I bought the soundtrack because it spoke to my heart. Before I could sing it in church, my wife did. :)

God bless.
