I'm an Open Book

I was visiting Gina over at Writer...Interrupted and she had just written this great meme - so I thought I'd give it a try.

If your life was a book, what Genre would it be and why?
Fiction, maybe mixed with a little Chick Lit, and dashed with a bunch of comedy

Would it be a stand alone or a series?
Probably a series, the adventure’s in Mel’s World never seem to end (it is actually quite funny at times)

What would the title of your life’s book be?
Hum…good question, on a serious note, maybe something like “Saved by Grace”, on a more Melissa note maybe something like, “I’m a Cracked Pot”, or “Preach it Sista!”, or maybe even “What in the world was God thinking?” (HA!!! I am even making myself laugh on that one!)

What’s the spiritual theme of your book?
Learning to love myself completely and fully, having faith that God has me right where HE wants me “for such a time as this”.

What would your goal be?
To gain authentic confidence (learned that one from Valorie Burton) in who Christ made me to be…I am fearfully and wonderfully made!

What’s the motivation for your goal?
Letting go of the exceedingly high expectations of myself, forgiving myself for my mistakes, and learning to be more like Him each and every day!

Who’s your hero?
Christ himself…there is no need to sugar coat it, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, I really don’t need to hide Him behind a character.

What’s your conflict?
Being able to believe, in my heart and soul, that I am perfect in God’s eyes, that HE created me and knit me together, bit by complicated bit, and that each and every tragedy and crisis that has come into my life is all part of His (perfect) master plan and that all of it is preparing me for the next great adventure.

Who’s your antagonist?
Me, me, and most definitely ME!!!

Where are you in your life’s book? (The beginning, middle, end, have you reached your black moment, are you into your resolution?)
Good question, I think I lost my bookmark! No seriously, I think I am smack dab in the middle…just when I think it is starting to even out and get closer to a conclusion, BAM, another thing happens that shows me God is NOT finished with me yet!

Is there a happy ending?
OH YEAH!!!! With God on my side, who can be against me? Seriously…there is a happy ending because even after I leave this earth I get to be with my heavenly Father for all eternity…how much better of a happy ending do I need?

And now what is a Meme without a tag
I think it would be fun for all my blog friends to do this. So if your name is on the right column under COOL CHICKS consider yourself tagged. Although everyone is invited to join in! :-) (Sharon at Quiet Reflections posted that part, but it was perfect, so I kept it!) If you want to join in I think it would be great!!

What a fun read! I'd like to participate, but I'm trying so hard to get caught up after my Mom and Aunt left yesterday. Lots of things are calling my name and need attention. LOL

Hope your weekend was good.
